Thirteen years after graduating from Lakeside High School, I had the chance to reconnect with my alma mater through its band director. He was eager to create a distinct brand for the band—a unifying identity that students could rally behind and merchandise they’d be proud to wear in the halls. This project offered me the opportunity to give back to a community that shaped me and to help build something meaningful for the next generation. I set out to design a clean, bold visual identity that would work seamlessly across a range of products.
The final design features a striking shield emblazoned with a panther’s profile, complemented by dynamic, bold typography. The typography and emblem were crafted to stand strong individually or work harmoniously together, creating a flexible yet cohesive brand for the Lakeside High School Band.
